Update: Blake Shelton has responded to his apparent subtweet to his ex-wife Miranda Lambert. After a recording of The Voice, E! News asked the country singer if he was deliberating shading Lambert referencing her new relationship with a different recently country star.
"Look, here's the deal: If I meant for people to know what I was talking about, I would have said what that thing was," he told the outlet, not confirming or denying his intentions with his strongly worded tweet. "I'm not gonna stand here and talk about it. All I'll say is it's amazing to see people turn it into what they want it to be, even if it doesn't even make sense in that context."

Next to him, Kelly Clarkson gave a little more insight, adding, "You have to know, y'all: Blake just loves stirring the pot—even if there's nothing to stir!"
Original story follows.
Country star Blake Shelton is talking karma on Twitter — and some fans think it has to do with rumors about his ex-wife Miranda Lambert's love life.
First, some background: According to People, Lambert allegedly split from boyfriend of two years, Anderson East, earlier in April. Now, rumour has it that she is dating a new guy, Evan Felker.
Voice judge Shelton is now one-half power couple "Gwake" — his romance with fellow judge Gwen Stefani was celebrated from the get-go and even has its very own Christmas song — but some fans think that his latest tweet was throwing shade at ex-wife Lambert for allegedly cheating on him with East during their marriage. (Neither Shelton nor Lambert have ever confirmed that there was infidelity during their time together.)
"Been taking the high road for a long time.. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!," Shelton tweeted on Wednesday.

Shelton's fans rallied around him in the replies:
"You are amazing! The non-stop smear campaign for close to three years. The continued 'broken heart' ploy for sympathy, and you said nothing! I'm so proud of you and so happy for the life you have now," wrote one fan.
"Blake we love you brother. We were behind you always. Only those who choose to be blind couldn’t see the truth. May you always feel loved. God bless Gwen for being your rock," added a second.

Unfortunately, others replied with degrading and slut-shaming comments about Lambert — and a few called out Shelton for allegedly cheating on his own ex-wife with the country songstress in the first place.
I never said the internet was a nice place to be.
The truth is, we won't know what Shelton's tweet was about until he reveals it to the masses. That probably won't happen, of course, as Shelton made it clear he would rather subtweet this person than publicly shame them.
If the tea is as hot as fans think it is — Shelton's not exactly spilling it
