Emily In Paris Star Clears Up Confusion Surrounding Her Character’s Age

Exactly how old is Emily In Paris's title character meant to be? Ever since the escapist comedy-drama series premiered on Netflix earlier this month, fans have been trying to decipher the precise age of Lily Collins' charming and très chic heroine, Emily Cooper.
Earlier this week, Collins pegged Emily as 22, telling Vogue: "I don't believe we've ever given her a specific 'number' for her age, but I believe that she's pretty fresh out of college. Maybe this is her first year after graduation. I want to say she's like, 22-ish."

However, fans were swift to point out that this doesn't quite add up. After all, in the super-buzzy show created by Sex and the City's Darren Star, Emily is supposed to have completed an undergraduate degree and a masters – which would typically require another one or two years of study.
She's also meant to have around a year of work under her impeccably chosen belt.
Addressing the confusion in a self-deprecating Twitter post, Collins shared a GIF of her character looking confused with the caption: "Emily looking at me when I get her age wrong. Sorry girl."
She added playfully: "You might not be 22, but I gotta say - you do act like it sometimes!!"
Following Collins' claim that Emily could be just 22 years old, her co-star Lucas Bravo – who plays her chef-love interest Gabriel – made a rather more plausible suggestion as to the character's age.
"I would say she's probably 24," the actor told E!. "Something happens after 26 where women start exploring... in terms of personality. I feel like she's still very strong willed and she has certainties, but yeah I would say [that she's] around 24."
