As with most trends, fashion loves a little game of extremes. And the same goes for fall makeup, in particular, autumn lip shades. So, we decided to take our two favorite pouts of the moment—a warm pale nude and a vibrant, racy red—and let them go head to head (or lip to lip!). While fall's nude lip seems a natural fit for the season's more austere minimalist themes, the bright red mouth is more akin to fall's eclectic, playful trends. But rest assured, there are no hard and fast rules here. If you choose the more bashful nude, be sure to pair it with a bolder eye, while the classic red lip looks best with a clean complexion and a single swipe of the blackest mascara. Either way, we put this fall lipstick face-off to you: Does nude's quiet impact speak louder than words or is a fast-talking red more your speed?
