Rad or Bad: Blue And Pink Eyeshadow

Bold eye makeup is definitely having a moment—the spring runways were basically a rainbow connection of vibrant eyes, with super-pigmented, paintbox hues appearing at Peter Som, Yigal Azrouel, Jason Wu, and Derek Lam, to name a few. But lately, two shadow shades have caught our eye, showing up repeatedly among the spring makeup collections: electric blue and sweet pink. Sure, '80s-era blue eye shadow can be considered a major faux pas and pink eye shadow can skew a little too Paris Hilton-in-her-baby-voiced-heyday. But then again, makeup artist Pat McGrath channeled a retro-pink look for Dior's spring show and YSL's spring beauty campaign puts a cool, elegant spin on pink. What do you think? Should blue eye makeup and pink shadows be dead to us or are they a welcome throwback?
