With three different fall '11 shows rocking the feather hair accessory look (not to mention the recent buzz over feather hair extensions), it's official: the feather is definitely having a moment. At Cushnie et Ochs, stylist Danilo popped a single, black-dipped feather into models' sleek buns for a Pochahontas-meets-tough girl feel; at Gucci, stylist Luigi Murenu added feathers to fluffy, crimped ponytails for a luxed up 70s vibe; and at Yigal Azrouel, stylist Laurent Philippon adorned low, texturized buns with delicately fanned out black feathers. Considering feathers are usually just tacked onto headbands, we're psyched to see them flying solo this time around. What do you think about feather hair accessories? Will the trend take flight or is it ultimately for the birds?
