What's your Coachella go-to outfit or top styling tips for a desert music festival?
“Be cool. Stay cool—but always prepare to not be cool.”
What are your five must-haves for a summer music festival?
“My sunscreen, a bag that fits everything I accrue throughout the day, sneakers, a swimsuit, and my Karen Walker sunglasses.”
What bands are on top of your must-see list?
“I'm excited to see Lauryn Hill, The Morning Benders, Foster The People, Arcade Fire, Gayngs, Cut Copy, Here We Go Magic, MEN, PJ Harvey, Ratatat, Twin Shadow, and The Strokes! Though I usually end up seeing about two bands because the travel situation is always such a nightmare, but it’s good to have goals!”

What parties are you most excited to attend?
“Last night I played at The Standard in L.A for their pre-Coachella party. At the festival, I'm most excited to attend the parties that have the most amount of air conditioning and beer. This weekend, I'm looking forward to DJ’ing at the Philip Lim party as they are great pals of mine, and it’s always fun playing old school tunes for them. I'll be DJing with Alexa Chung and Myles Hendrik. Also, my friend Alia Shawkat is having her first ever art show at the Melissa Morgan Fine Art Gallery on Saturday, so I'm excited about that an very proud of her, too.”
Do you have a different approach to dressing for when you’re working at Coachella or just taking in the shows?
“No matter what I'm doing, whether it be performing, DJ’ing or just running errands, I have to feel comfortable. Feeling awkward or uncomfortable really screws things up. I'm a big fan of shoes that get the job done. You wont find me trying to pull my busted high heels out of the polo field.”
