It appears Uggs and high fashion aren't complete worlds apart. In fact, hallowed keeper of the house of Vogue, editor-at-large André Leon Talley, loves his squashy Uggs and owns about 15 pairs. Even more impressive, he actually wears them out to fashion shows.
Yep — we're just as surprised as you are. At the showing of Laura Smalls' spring collection, Talley spoke with Styleite and couldn't help but gush about his ongoing love of the shoes: "I'm in it for comfort...Uggs are comfort shoes, and it's important to have a shoe that gives you a sense of comfort. I have about 15 pairs."
Talley is already known for his eccentric wardrobe, but this recent revelation tops it. He definitely isn't seen as a traditionalist and isn't shy when making daring fashion choices (like his infamous cape). In fact, the editor-at-large should head out to fashion shows wearing his most foot-soothing pairs of boots. ALT, after all, has carte blanche to do what he pleases. (Styleite)
