The Ryan vs. Ryan debate has raged across this office for some time now. (Promise, we didn't make T-shirts.) Now that Ryan Reynolds has gone off the market thanks to Blake Lively, we could hold out hope that at least one girl — or, ahem, gay— was destined to snag Ryan Gosling as a husband (which explains our credit-card bill at Gos haunt Westville East). But, according to that reliable font of celebrity information, National Enquirer, the Drive actor is set to propose to passing fling current girlfriend, Eva Mendes. Cue a collective, R29 HQ shriek, a flurry of bitter tears, and one scathing review of Mendes' turn in Hitch.

The couple, who met on the set of The Place Beyond The Pines last summer, have had a decidedly un-tabloid relationship (but have been spotted out looking like they'd maybe make the most perfect-looking children ever), despite the Gos' past high-profile girlfriends, like Rachel McAdams and Sandra Bullock.
Sure, Eva has taken an anti-marriage stance in the past, telling Chelsea Handler last year: "I'm not like anti-marriage or the institution, like for other people. And I love the idea of a union — that's all very beautiful. But I think, you know, it's a very old-fashioned, archaic kind of thing. We did it for land originally. How unromantic is that?"
Give her 12 months with Ry guy, however, and it seems she's done a flip-flop. The Enquirer's source says that "Ryan is head over heels in love with Eva, and he wants to have a life with her, including children...Ryan has a charming way of helping her see a different kind of future." Excuse us, we're not crying, there's just something in our eye.
