Vivienne Westwood, like the rest of London Fashion Week, is not known for being vanilla. Fashion's resident punk has been shaking up the scene for decades, and though she frequently impresses, we thought by now her shock value was pretty much zero. Let it be known that we were wrong, so very wrong. At her spring '13 show yesterday, the queen of crazy showed up in a most perplexing ensemble. Where to begin? Perhaps with the drawn-on moustache and eye patch?

Or, maybe a more appropriate jumping-off point is the tights worn over pants. And the overly chunky socks with patent, platform, peep-toed Mary Janes. Or, the festively sequined, jauntily skewed hat. This outfit is so insane that it's completely beyond any criticism, so let's move on to the real issue.
