Author, professor, ambassador, jewelry collector, and — oh yeah — former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright added another line to her impressive and eclectic resume recently: jazz drumming sensation.
That's right — in a move that proves she might be the most badass diplomat ever, Albright filled in on drums during a Kennedy Center gala for the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. Known to be a big jazz fan, she played "quite creditably," according to one Washington Post music writer. While the audience at her debut performance included the likes of Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, and Helen Mirren, we somehow doubt the steely pol was intimidated. Next up, a duo act with Bill Clinton on sax?
