If anyone's going to get comfy on the couch with the current and potential future leaders of the free world, it's gonna be Oprah. In the November issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, (on newstands next Tuesday) the media maven is publishing the transcripts of her sit-downs with Barack and Michelle Obama and Mitt and Ann Romney, and we've got some sneak peeks from the convos.
While the discussion sticks to mostly lighthearted topics, like favorite foods, childhood dreams, and such, Romney takes the chance to deliver a minor jab when asked what he likes about his opponent: "A man's been in office three and a half years, he does hundreds of things. I'm sure there are a few that are fine." Passive-aggressive zing!
For her part, Michelle Obama keeps it cheeky but still confident. When Oprah asks about her tips for not sweating the small stuff, she says of her hubs, "I might want to talk to him about an issue I have with what he said the other day, but you know what, it's not really that important. I'm stockpiling a list of issues that I'd like to discuss with him in 2016, though." That's right — 2016. Read the preview online, and the full interview when it lands next week.
