To the delight of shoe lovers and Mini-MAC wearers everywhere, Rebecca Minkoff is finally opening her very own brick-and-mortar mainstay. The insanely stylish designer will be bringing her signature line of, well, pretty much everything (shoes, bags, dresses, you name it!) to the space currently occupied by NYC stalwart Kirna Zabete (don't freak, the KZ girls are upgrading to a larger shop).
Minkoff already has a 3,000-square-foot flagship in Tokyo, but the boutique will be a first for the U.S., meaning we can expect Kardashian-sized lines for a chance to grab the goods in person. According to Uri Minkoff, the brand's CEO, the Soho shop will be just the first in a flurry of U.S. openings for the next few years, i.e.: Shopping addicts everywhere will be able to nab all the cross-body bags a girl could ask for. Look for the retail mecca to open on Greene Street this spring, with several shops-in-shop at major department stores to follow. Rebecca, we think this could be the start of a beautiful friendship... we're basically around the corner, after all.(Women's Wear Daily)
