Supreme Court justices have plenty on their plates at the moment, so, needless to say, we were not expecting to see "Ruth Bader Ginsburg" and "sparkly statement necklace" in the same sentence today. But, lo and behold, it's the holidays, and that means every gal is starting to want a little more glitz in her life — even if she's an associate justice for the Supreme Court and a kickass women's rights powerhouse.
The Reliable Source reports that Ginsburg was spotted in court yesterday wearing a Banana Republic lace bib necklace that came in the swag bag at Glamour mag's Women of the Year party earlier this month. (Ginsburg is a nominee in the issue.) Since she's known for sporting a dainty white lace collar or jabot with her robe, this is a pretty significant departure for Ginsburg, and we'd by lying if we said it didn't give us a little you-go-girl type thrill. After all, if one of the most powerful women on Capitol Hill can shake up her look a little, what's stopping the rest of us? (The Reliable Source)
