Survive The Mayan Apocalypse In Style With Your Very Own $75K Bomb Shelter

Some people just live for that Y2K adrenaline burst. Ron Hubbard is one of them. The underground bomb-shelter extraordinaire — not to be confused with Church of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard — wants to help you survive the Mayan doomsday for a mere $75K. It is the end of the world, after all.
Located in Montebello, California, the luxurious apocalypse palace features bunk beds, a big-screen plasma television, Texas flag duvet covers (what?), and cheeky posters that read "Biohazard! Keep Out! Ron's Room," for the little kiddies. The shelters even come with escape shelters to rejoin aboveground Earth, just in case the world does keep on keeping on.

There also appears to be an interesting influx in shelter requests, "since Obama's re-election," noted the recreational shelter manufacturer. Hubbard is in a current frenzy to create two new shelters in New York and Indiana, but start moving in quickly because the man has an escape plan of his own: "I will be heading into my shelter on December 21, just because I have one and if any of the astrophysicists are right, I would feel really stupid."
