In Porn Biopic Lovelace, Amanda Seyfried Is All Big Hair & Smiles

There's sweet music and twinkling eyes, sure, but are you guys feeling a strong undercurrent of creepy in this first clip from the forthcoming Lovelace biopic starring Amanda Seyfried? We mean, that of course would be appropriate for a movie about the life of Linda Lovelace, the rarely happy, accidental porn star who was used by many of the people she trusted in her tragically short life — her first husband (played here by Wes Bentley) who reportedly abused her and forced her into pornography, as well as the anti-porn crusaders who opportunistically employed her as a figurehead. Yeah, icky stuff.

Whether the creators of Lovelace go for porn-as-liberation positivity or focus on the darker allegations the star laid forth in her biography, Ordeal, we gotta take a time out and say that Seyfried looks great here. The deep-brown contacts, big, curly brunette hair, and that swimsuit-and-kimono combo she's sporting really flatter her. It's a more mature look for the former Mean Girl — appropriate for a very, very mature movie that will, most likely, creep us out, no matter how much the star smiles.
