We all know that Katie Holmes isn't like most women (she counts Vic Beckham as a BFF, after all!), so it really should come as no surprise that her post-breakup routine is a bit more highbrow than the normal newly single snip. The former Mrs. Tom Cruise is now dabbling in a strange skin-care procedure that would make those Scientology practices look like child's play — Holmes is using snail slime to keep her mug looking nothing short of marvelous.
It turns out, beneath that Bobbi Brown foundation, the Dead Accounts star has been applying Helix Aspersa Müller Glycoconjugates — a.k.a. a thick, wrinkle-fighting fluid gathered by stimulating live snails. Beauty products that feature the buggy ingredient boast scar-eliminating abilities and results of smoother skin. Apparently, the sticky serum is quite popular in places like Korea and Africa, and the interest has reached the States with brands such as Missha, Dr. Jart+, and Labcconte selling the cream to eager (and spendy) customers.
