Dakota Fanning's definitely got a permanent page in our book of stars to watch. She's talented, but grounded — and pursuing an education at NYU, while maintaining a budding acting career, is always something we admire. So, naturally, we were psyched when we heard she was fronting the March issue of Glamour!
Though she obviously looks great on the cover, it's a bit Cosmo meets Perez Hilton for our taste...but we're not fazed. At the risk of sounding like defensive Playboy subscribers, we bought it for the interviews. Nearly-19-year-old Fanning told the mag all about her current love life — surprisingly nonexistent, as the star says she doesn't really date and "can't be bothered" right now. "I have a weird vision of relationships because my parents have known each other since second grade, and they got married right out of college. I’ve always thought that’s what it’s supposed to be like, and if it’s not, then I don’t want to waste my time on it," she says. "Even when I was 14, I was like, 'I’m not gonna marry this person. What’s the point of doing it?' It’s not me being naive. I just know what it’s supposed to be like." Is it just us or does that sound exactly on point with Valentine's Day around the corner and a sea of unanswered OKCupid messages we just don't want to deal with?
Can't get enough? Yeah, neither can we. Definitely check out this shamelessly adorable behind-the-scenes video on the set of the photo shoot with Ellen von Unwerth. Though she's a natural at posing, she also seems like a joy to work with...best-friend material, right?
