And The Award For Most Bizarre Designer Collab Goes To…

We've witnessed some odd fashion collaborations in our time: Victoria Beckham and Range Rover; Reebok and Armani; Paul Smith and Evian — and who could forget Louis Vuitton and Diddo Velema gas masks (okay, so that was a more of a conceptual art project, but you get where we're going with this). This, however, is the first time to our knowledge that a fashion designer has collaborated with a fruit-juice brand.
London Fashion Week darling Richard Nicoll, beloved for his luxe, clean-cut designs, is collaborating with Tropicana. Yep, you read that correctly. But, before you roll your eyes — yes, we can see you — we urge you to read on, because this collaboration sounds pretty interesting, and it's all in aid of a good cause.

Nicoll has designed a limited-edition dress to mark the drinks brand's latest offering, Trop50. Only 50 of the dresses have been produced and will be available for a short time via Atelier-To-Go.com.
All profits raised from sales of the dress will be donated to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. And the dresses will be unveiled at a pop-up shop off Carnaby Street on 7 February by a mystery model guest and friend of Richard Nicoll. Intriguing, no?
We haven't seen any pics yet, but we're going to go ahead and assume, given that the collaboration is with Tropicana, the charity dress design will nod toward the juicy orange-and-yellow creations that the designer paraded down the catwalk for spring '13. And we're totally on board.
The Richard Nicoll dress for Trop50 will be available to buy at £555 from the 7 February, exclusively via Atelier-To-Go.com
