As music's biggest night looms in the not-so-far-off distance (Disclaimer: The weekend seems ages and ages away right now.), music fanatics and critics alike are betting on who will go home with the golden gramophones at the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards this Sunday. Using some analytical magic and know-how — a.k.a. play count versus the amount of times each artist's page has been visited — Spotify has predicted who'll win big, and who's going home with a frowny face.
Gotye's xylophone-laden ode to an ex-lover, "Somebody That I Used To Know," is slated to score the Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance titles. Meanwhile, Carly Rae Jepsen's infectious (like, staph-level infectious) "Call Me Maybe" will likely pick up Best Pop Solo Performance. Among Spotify's other predictions are Mumford & Sons, supposedly taking home Album of the Year for "Babel," and "Blown Away" by Carrie Underwood for the Best Country Song.

Surprisingly, the coveted Best New Artist gramophone is predicted to go to The Lumineers over Frank Ocean. This one we're not so sure of, as Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You" was one of our top tracks of 2012. What do you think? Who will be the big winners this Sunday? Will Gotye pull an Adele and sweep the ceremony, or could fun. upset the predictions and take home Best New Artist and Record of the Year? And, most of all, will Kanye let them finish?
Check out the full list of nominees here. After you've made your own assumptions, submit them to Spotify's "Predict The Grammys" app and automatically be entered to win tickets to next year's ceremony. It's like Fantasy Football for the musically inclined. (Billboard)
