The Grammys aren't necessarily the go-to awards ceremony for red carpet fashion; in fact, it's the one red carpet where the crazier the look, the better. Remember when Lady Gaga didn't even walk the carpet, and instead "incubated" in a life-size egg carried by her dancers with prosthetic horns? There was also that time Lil' Kim showed up in spray-painted jeans and nothin' but bedazzled flower pasties for a top. It's the kind of awards show where each artist's "character" comes out to play. This year, however, there will be no cleavage-baring Versace dresses (sorry J. Lo), nor shall there be cleavage, under-boob, side-boob, Angie-leg, or butt-baring outfits, for that matter. The CBS Standards and Practices committee sent out an e-mail asking this Sunday's ceremony attendees refrain from wearing anything that will expose "bare fleshy" areas on the body. In addition to that tiny rule, the network is asking that there be no product placement, obscene words, or organization affiliation advertisement like lapel pins, either. (Lapel pins! You will be the end of us!) Hopefully Rihanna, the princess of giving no $%&!s, takes note because her penchant for sheer tops could get her into some trouble.
Turtlenecks and sweaters are a lil' bit warm for Los Angeles this time of year, which begs the question what will the stars wear now? (Racked)
