Footwear Fave Freda Salvador Gets More National Fashion Cred!

main
Watch out world, local footwear line Freda Salvador is making big behemoth waves in the shoe game this year (and it's only a few months in). We know what you're thinking — “tell us something we don’t know,” right? Sure, we’ve already spilled the beans about the much-anticipated and soon-to-open Freda Salvador shop on Union Street, but now the edgy footwear line is being named “One to Watch” by the peeps at WWD. And that’s a pretty serious acknowledgement, if we do say so ourselves. Not that we didn’t already think these luxe local kicks were truly all that, now we’re just happy that, apparently, so does the rest of the fashion community!
What are some of the things to look forward to in this label’s second year? Freda Salvador’s fall ’13 line is said to debut some more edgy additions, like a pointed-toe loafer and 2.5-inch heel. Oh yeah, and the designing duo behind the line, Megan Papay and Cristina Palomo, have been nominated for a Fashion Group International Rising Star Award in the accessories category. Here’s to all the big things ahead for S.F.-based Freda Salvador, and to waiting with baited breath for its S.F. store opening later this month!
