We love British style. Eccentric, fashion-forward, and even to-the-manor-born — we love it in all its many guises. It seems though, that when it comes to sartorial inspiration, we turn to our neighbors over the pond for guidance rather than looking to our own shores. The number one “neighbor,” being Blake Lively.
Wait, really? Well, maybe. A survey conducted by iLikeOffers.co.uk reveals that 42% of U.K. females based their wardrobe decisions on Blake Lively’s look, closely followed by Rihanna and Kate Middleton. The only other Brits to grace this top ten poll are Rita Ora, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Made in Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh.

Chris Perrett, Director of iLikeOffers.co.uk claims, “nearly 90 per cent of women questioned said they get their sartorial inspiration from the rich and famous. Looks like it’s sidewalk over catwalk when it comes to imitating style.” We wouldn’t go so far as that. Celebrity culture, street style and the runways conspire to create the perfect storm of style inspiration not imitation, if you ask us. Plus, we're not totally clear on the methodology of this survey.
But, what do you think? Who do you look to for fashion inspiration? To the comments, with your thoughts! (The Daily Mail)
