It used to be that a celebrity knew they had made it when they landed a spokesperson gig. Then, the popularity status symbol was having your own fragrance. Now, it seems the new marker for success is landing your own MAC collaboration.
The brand is no stranger to using celebrities to promote its products — its annual Viva Glam campaign has used such stars as RuPaul, Cyndi Lauper, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj to raise money and support for HIV/AIDS awareness. But, recently, MAC has been extending that celebrity presence outside of Viva Glam and working on special collections with cool-girl icons like Beth Ditto, Carine Roitfeld, and the much buzzed about Rihanna collection. The latest of these new collabs is the just-announced Hayley Williams line.
This four-piece collection features an eyeshadow, a nail polish, a lipstick, and a powder all inspired by the Paramore singer's signature orange 'do. The line launches on April 9, and will be available exclusively online.
MAC Hayley Williams collection, $15-$29, available April 9 at MAC.
