Forever 21 is an undeniable guilty pleasure. While the combination of impossibly cheap prices and on-trend (if fleeting and slightly flimsy) design is hard to resist, the myriad of accusations about the company's ethical practices is enough to make you think twice. Now, the water is only getting muddier: As SheFinds points out, it appears the fast-fashion brand has come out with a ringer (above, right) of the Céline Trapeze Bag. And get this: It's called the Forever 21 Trapeze Bag. Creative.
Of course, Forever 21 is far from the first to copy Céline. The French luxury brand has had major success the past few years, and dozens of designers have knocked-off their handbag designs at varying price points. The problem is, Celine's aesthetic is so minimalist and reserved, their pieces are very easy to reproduce — and just as hard to pinpoint what's "inspiration" vs. what's crossing the line. To be fair, the bag's shape is trapeze-like. Plus, this might not actually be the most blatant Céline copy we've seen. But it's still pretty ballsy. What do you think?
