Barbi Rockers (Human Rights Campaign Benefit) featuring Light Asylum, Nina Sky, JD Samson and MEN, Creep, Blood Orange, plus surprise guests: (le) Poisson Rouge, May 4, $55
If the impressive roster for Saturday's Barbi Rockers event wasn't enough to make you head to (le) Poisson Rouge, knowing that it's for a great cause should help. The Human Rights Campaign is the largest civil rights organization to work for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender American equality. With artists like Dev Hynes' Blood Orange project and Nina Sky, it should be a no-brainer.

Red Bull Music Academy is going all-out this year with so many amazing events, it's hard to keep track. Case in point: this week, they have a Brian Eno exhibit, a FlyLo show at Terminal 5, a night of improvised duets, and this awesome showcase at Public Assembly featuring some of the most forward-thinking electronic acts in music today. Impressive.
Saturday, May 4, 10 p.m. Public Assembly, 70 North 6th Street (between Wythe and Kent avenues); Brooklyn; 718-384-4586.
The National Play One Song For Six Hours (Really): PS1 MoMA, $15
Last year at PS1, electronic producer Nicolas Jaar played for five hours in a geodesic dome. Now, it seems, indie-rock brooders The National have decided to up the ante. This Sunday, for the low price of regular admission, the band will play one song (yes, one song) for six straight hours. If that's not showing commitment to your art, we don't know what is.
Sunday, May 5, 12 p.m., PS1 MoMA, 22-25 Jackson Avenue (between 46th Road and 46 Avenue); Queens; 718-784-2084.
