Leave it to Amanda Seyfried to juggle a cross-country roadtrip, an upcoming movie with Seth MacFarlane, and a major beauty gig all at once — and charm our hearts out while doing it. Such is the scene for her lengthy interview with WWD, where she discusses her latest career move: The Les Mis star has just signed on as the new face of Very Irresistible Givenchy, following in Liv Tyler's footsteps.
Though she's been a style star in our book for a long time, Seyfried views this as her grand entrance into the world of high fashion: “It’s an honest collaboration...I feel like I have a foot in the fashion industry now.” The print and TV campaign, styled by Riccardo Tisci, marries Seyfried's chic, elegant features with the fragrance, but the actress notes she won't be going out on her own in the world of celebrity perfumes any time soon (a very rare statement in an industry where nearly everyone has a smell to their name).
As far as we're concerned, she's got both feet in the fashion industry by virtue of sheer beauty, not to mention a pretty eye-catching style sense. Hopefully this is the beginning of many more collaborations to come — though she's only 5'3", we'd sure get a kick out of seeing her open a Givenchy couture show. (WWD)
