One of the largest and most influential magazine publishers around, Condé Nast received 27 nominations at the American Society of Magazine Editors awards yesterday — the most of the group — but left with four. One of the big winners was Vogue, which was up for the best of its class in service and fashion magazines.
Reports WWD, Anna Wintour received the award on Vogue's behalf and chalked up the win to the magazine's tenacity. “To those of you who might go home empty-handed tonight, let me give you a word of advice: Just hang in there for 25 years as we’ve done, and you might get lucky," Wintour said.

We'd argue that it takes a little bit more than that (iconoclastic staff, a rich history, and deep pockets for one), but spending 25 years working as editor-in-chief for any publication is a pretty good sign of something special in and of itself. (WWD)
