Selena Gomez has been doing a lot of growing up lately, between Spring Breakers, her new album, as well as her MTV-performance controversy). The trend continues in her latest cover feature for
InStyle, where she appears in a variety of thoroughly grown-up pantsuits.
With her cat-eye makeup, the sky-high hair, and Americana-chic setting, she's got a definite Lana Del Rey vibe going on. Plus, on the subject of her personal life, the statement, "I'm in love with love" totally sounds like something LDR would say. And if you have any doubts on her status as pop royalty, she's apparently best friends with Taylor Swift. Her new album includes a carefully-placed track lamenting the end of her relationship with Justin Bieber, something guaranteed to land her a few months' worth of headlines.

And, like pretty much everyone in Hollywood right now, she's really into fashion. “The idea of trying to get on a best-dressed list stresses me out. I’m so nervous. I love picking out clothes, and it would be a blast to just play dress-up all the time," she says. Gomez still remembers not being able to afford the "$40 sweaters" her classmates sported, and cites that as the inspiration for her Kmart line, she "wanted to make a line that was supercute and affordable, things a 12-year-old could wear and I could wear, too.” Though these days, it seems like her tastes lean more towards Dolce & Gabbana and Versace. More power to her — she's had more than a few defining red carpet moments of late.
