John Galliano Finally Speaks Up In Vanity Fair‘s July Issue

John Galliano's whereabouts and what's-next questions have been a consistently hot topic. His stint at Oscar de le Renta, his three-day workshop at Parsons, and then its cancellation — it's all been a part of the story of what the defamed designer will and can do since his deplorable behavior that one night in 2011. But the one thing Galliano has yet to do is to come forward since being fired from Dior to speak publicly about his actions and his future. That was, of course, until he sat down with Ingrid Sischy for a one-on-one that is set to appear in the July issue of Vanity Fair.

However, in a brief statement to WWD earlier this year, Galliano said, "I am an alcoholic. I have been in recovery for the past two years...I have expressed my sorrow privately and publicly for the pain which I caused, and I continue to do so. I remain committed to making amends to those I have hurt." This will be the first opportunity since then for him to address what his life and career have become over the past couple years. Without any official hints available of what the Vanity Fair feature will include, you may just have to keep those eagle eyes on the newsstand until the issue makes its appearance. We'll be doing the same. (Fashion Telegraph)
