Amanda Seyfried's TV spot for Givenchy's "Very Irresistible" is here, in all its black-and-white, windswept glory. Perfume ads are always a tricky thing — unlike makeup or clothing spots, you can't see the product in action. Instead, you see the ambience and, in turn, the feeling the fragrance is supposed to capture. Sure, there are some (we're looking at you, Dolce & Gabbana's "Light Blue") that are more fantastical, suggesting a few carefree spritzes might whisk you away to Capri with a half-naked Adonis lounging next to you on a yacht, but others — like Givenchy's latest — are slightly more relatable (that is, if you happen to have a compact wind-machine to whip your hair back when you enter a room).
In fact, Seyfried's transformation puts all of our attempts to command a room to shame — heck, her very aura stops an entire café in its tracks. "Very Irresistible" probably helps, but that black trench and sheer, white lace top are equally arresting. Let's just say that after watching this, the actress should expect some fan mail from all of us at R29. (Fashion Copious)
