If you're obsessed with design, it's highly likely that you've got a blog reader, Pinterest boards, and an Instagram feed all overflowing with inspirational eye candy. But, every now and then, it's helpful to step away from the visual onslaught and get up close and personal with design. Luckily, you can do just that tomorrow night at Room & Board. The furnishings mecca on 14th Street is hosting visual artist Eames Demetrios, grandson of design legends Charles and Ray Eames, and author of An Eames Primer (a must-read for any self-professed design aficionado). During tomorrow's intimate discussion, Demetrios will discuss his grandparents' enduring legacy and their lasting impact on current design — but we're also secretly hoping for some personal anecdotes about the pioneering creative couple.
When: Wednesday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m.
