We'd like to think that we're a charismatic and memorable bunch around here, but according to Esquire, we would be forgotten pretty quickly if we ever came face-to-face with Brad Pitt. The World War Z actor covers the June/July issue of the mag, and confesses that he really has trouble remembering names and faces. (Full disclosure: We, too, admit to forgetting names and faces when we first meet people, but then again, we're not Pitt.)
Pitt keeps it casual on the black-and-white cover, donning a pair of aviators, a crewneck sweater, and jeans. The rest of his editorial has the same vibe (almost like outtakes from his Chanel No. 5 perfume ad, which we still laugh at!). In an excerpt from Pitt's interview with Tom Junod, the actor explains the extent of his alleged prosopagnosia, also known as face blindness:
"So many people hate me because they think I'm disrespecting them. So I swear to God, I took one year where I just said, This year, I'm just going to cop to it and say to people, 'Okay, where did we meet?' But it just got worse. People were more offended...But it's a mystery to me, man. I can't grasp a face and yet I come from such a design/aesthetic point of view. I am going to get it tested."
It is a mystery, Brad. Are you sure you're just not a forgetful person? It's okay, we won't judge. Read the rest of the excerpt here, and head on over to Esquire for the rest of Pitt's photos. (Esquire)
