When sitting in on an Arrested Development conference call today, we heard some news that put a giant smile on our faces: Kristen Wiig and Seth Rogen will have guest roles in the new Arrested Development season on Netflix! The news was already out there, as
Entertainment Weekly
scooped these photos a while back, but we kinda forgot about it, and with only days to go until the season premiere, our excitement levels have officially reached dangerous heights.

Jessica Walter, who plays the real-time version of Kristen Wiig's younger Lucille Bluth, said she was favorably impressed with the former SNL star's performance. "She's just wonderful. She must have studied tapes from the old days," Walter said. Now that we think of it, Wiig is a perfect match for Lucille's passive-aggressive style.
Rogan will play the younger version of George Bluth, Sr., and while we don't quite see the physical resemblance, it could work. Show creator Mitch Hurwitz said of the casting process, "We didn't try to just make it The Love Boat and just hit all of the people who wanted to be in it." Love Boat or not, we're gearing up for a serious Netflix binge this weekend. Somebody bring the Pop Secret.
