Marc Jacobs has often amazed us with his do-it-all genius, running the designs of his namesake labels and Louis Vuitton. But, as announced today, Jacobs is calling in some backup to assist him with his Marc by Marc Jacobs RTW line — and, naturally, his selection is impeccable. As reported by Fashion Telegraph, Jacobs has invited industry pros Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier to assume the design director and creative director positions, respectively, for his collection. Bartley, who's best known for her former namesake label, Luella, and Hillier, of adorable accessory line Hillier, will work with the New York design team remotely from London.

And with this appointment comes much excitement. According to Fashion Telegraph, Robert Duffy, CEO of Marc Jacobs, has claimed the diffusion line has gotten "a bit stale," and we're hoping this duo from across the pond may be just the breath of fresh air to liven things up. (Fashion Telegraph)
