Prancercising: The Workout That Will Completely Change Your Life, Forever

When we first started hearing about Prancercise, we were quick to file it in our brains as a good laugh for later; a bizarre chuckle to get us through the end of the week. What we didn't realize was that once we watched it, Prancercise pioneer Joanna Rohrback would become our spirit guide.
Watch this video and you'll see what we mean. At first, we weren't sure what to make of Rohrback. Between her skin-tight white pants, baby pink cardigan, and shrill-yet-earnest voice, it was hard not to raise our eyebrows at the whole thing. And then suddenly it all changed. "Let's stop talking and do some walking," she says, almost to the beat of the music that kicks in. That's when the magic starts. Literally, Prancercising is magic.

It's not walking and it's not dancing; it's more like floating rhythmically through the air with sheer joy and a side of ankle weights. And Rohrback is really, really good at Prancercising. We found ourselves prancing in our chairs right along with her. She also looks super-fit, which means she must be doing something right (okay, we actually think she's doing everything right).

In case you are currently finding yourself wondering, "Is she for real?" The answer is, emphatically, yes. As reported by SFist, Rohrback has been prancercising her way into the hearts and minds of Coral Springs, Florida since 1989, as a "wellness coach and aerobics instructor." She also has a degree in Health Services, plus a book titled
Prancercise: The Art of Phsyical and Spiritual Excellence
, the cover of which actually features Rohrback prancing alongside a pony. Don't you just want to hug her?

Rohrback also advocates eating as close to a vegetarian diet as possible. She writes on her website, "I personally strive to feel light — I want to spring off the ground like an antelope!" We are thusly convinced that when the revolution comes, it will involve prancercising. But don't just take our word for it. If you haven't seen this video yet, you're about to have the best five minutes of your week.
