Alexa Chung knows how to create a frenzy. Fresh on the heels of the tantalizing glimpse of her shoot with L'Oréal, on her Instagram feed, she's now revealed the cover of her first novel. Intriguingly titled It, the book's cover is simplicity personified with just a photo of an eye (we presume is her own) adorning it.
Now, Let's discuss: What does the title mean? As soon as we looked at the cover, A Child Called It sprung to mind — probably not the connection Chung or her publishers were hoping to make. We think the choice of word is (hopefully) a clever riff on the phrase It girl — the term normally bandied around whenever Chung is mentioned.
September 5 is the day when all will be revealed. Till then, we'll have to make do with pre-ordering the tome and placing bets about what the book will actually be about. Anyone up for a sportmen's bet on its contents? (Penguin)
