A Major Game Of Thrones Update — No Spoilers, Promise!

Considering we're feeling the pains of Game of Thrones withdrawal pretty hard right now, we'd jump on pretty much any news story about our favorite show. Fortunately, just as we were sitting down to write some Daenerys/Jon Snow fan fiction, we came across this little tidbit! According to Entertainment Weekly, the role of Oberyn Martell has been cast for season four. The character will be played by Chilean actor Pedro Pascal. If that sounds familiar, it might be because he's previously made a name in TV for roles in The Good Wife and Graceland, among others.
If you haven't read the books, we won't spoil it for you. But we will tell you that this newcomer is a high-born, often called the Red Viper. What's more, he has a serious grudge against the Lannisters. As executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss put it, he's "sexy and charming, yet believably dangerous; intensely likable, yet driven by hate. The boys love him, the girls love him, and he loves them all back." Sounds like a change is coming to King's Landing, in more ways than one! (Entertainment Weekly)
