Is Anyone Stoked About The New Isabel Marant Hidden-Wedge Shoe?

isabel-marant
Where Isabel Marant goes, we will follow…except perhaps when it comes to the very latest iteration of the concealed wedge boot. First came the Bekett and Bobby sneaker that launched the whole sneaker-wedge trend. Then came the controversial Basley that raised a few eyebrows. And now? Ladies, let us introduce you to the most extreme marriage of practicality and vertical vanity: the Nowles.
Made of shearling featuring red rope ties, the mukluk-ski boot/Timberland franken-shoe looks as comfy as an Ugg…but there's a reason we try not to wear those out of the house. Net-A-Porter is selling them for a whopping $840, and predicts that they're "set to be the must-have shoes of the season" — a claim we're a bit skeptical of for a high-heeled snow boot, but then again, it's Isabel Marant. Girl can slap a label on a baguette, and we'll wear it on our feet. However, we can probably count on one devoted Marant fan to start the hype machine — how long when the other Knowles debuts the Nowles?
