We've heard it a million times, and we're sure you have, too: Beauty comes from within. When we're talking about products, that means that the healthier you are, the more beautiful you will look. It's our firm belief that treating yourself well and eating right go hand-in-hand with using the right skin care creams and treatments.
Well, apparently some of our go-to brands agree, as there's been a surge of traditional beauty companies pouring their resources into the supplement category. Just these past few weeks sees the launch from two stalwarts in the industry: Neal's Yard Organics and Bliss.
Capitalizing on its fun, yet efficacious reputation, Bliss has dived into the category headfirst with the launch of Blisslabs Nutricosmetics — a line of six supplements in a combination of drops, chews, pills, and powdered drink mixes that are all inspired by their existing skin-care ranges. There's FatGirlCleanse Two-Day Detox, a two-part drink mix to "banish your body's impurities and support your natural detoxification processes"; Triple Oxygen Glow Sticks, an effervescent drink to boost brightness and fight fatigue; The Youth As We Know It Vitality Blend supplements, which provide antioxidant protection from the inside-out; Total Bliss Zen At Work, focus-enhancing calming drops; Total Bliss Nutrient System, an all-around beauty and wellbeing vitamin pack; and Total Bliss Give Me Strength, supplement chews said to help grow stronger hair and nails.

On the flip side, there's Neal's Yard Organics, a U.K. brand focused on organic products that feature the purest-of-the-pure ingredients that promote skin's optimal health. The brand has dabbled in supplements before, releasing products focused on specific conditions — like pre-natal, or joint pain — but this marks their first foray into beauty-based vitamins. The four new blends include Vitamin C Boost, for boosting immunity; Beauty Boost, to aid in anti-aging; Multi-Vitamin & Mineral Boost for general wellbeing; and a Super Antioxidant Boost, to help the body ward off free radicals. If you're concerned with the safety of supplements, then these are a good bet for you, as EU regulations are stricter than U.S. ones, and the brand is committed to safe, pure, efficacious products.
We love seeing brands shift their focus from just lotions and potions to a more integrative beauty approach. It doesn't hurt that we've actually seen a noticeable difference in our bodies since we started popping our Beauty Boost and Give Me Strength Bites on the reg — our hair has never been shinier and our skin wishes it could be this clear all the time. So, you know, there's that.
