The Best Of Jane Austen On Film: Did Your Favorite Make This List?

It’s happening: Jane Austen will be the face on £10 notes from 2017. Brava to the men and women who campaigned for this to become a reality. And, to celebrate this momentous occasion British Harper’s Bazaar has released its top nine favourite movie adaptations of Jane Austen’s novels.
Of course, Clueless is in the mix, as is the near-perfect 1995 adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, starring Hugh Grant (at his most dishy) and Emma Thompson. But, there are some notable exclusions too, with Bride and Prejudice being one of them. Before you all roll your eyes at us and proclaim it a stinker, may we defend ourselves by saying: We saw it on a plane and it didn’t hurt our eyeballs. It also made us smile a lot. But, enough about us. What's your favourite Jane Austen movie? Did it make it the HB list? Let us know in the comments section below. (Harper’s Bazaar)
