It’s All About Graphic Tees, According To Madewell’s New Designer

Perhaps your haven't quite noticed that Madewell is undergoing a makeover, but now's the time to start paying attention. With a new head of design at the helm, Madewell could be on the verge of transforming itself into an even bigger, more lust-worthy label. Somsack Sikhounmuong, the Thailand-born, Toronto-raised, new member of the Madewell team has already shed some light on what you can expect with the debut of the new fall '13 collection.
Aside from the denim revamp, Sikhounmuong is also shaking us out of our comfort zones with his roundup of some of the season's must-haves. And contrary to belief, he's telling us to ease up on the bold prints (come again?), and opt for graphic tees that will mix perfectly with even the most tailored items in your closet. Granted, we don't think we'll completely do away with those artful prints altogether, but if Madewell's newest fall line wins us over (we have high hopes), we'll gladly follow any of Sikhounmuong's sage advice going forward. Click over to see more can't-miss Madewell buys from the likely soon-to-be household head designer. (Fab Sugar)
