This Fashion Wiki Will Be NYFW’s Best Friend

Hey, even the most well-versed editor isn't a completely omnipotent fashion-world goddess. That's where a handy resource like FAD comes into play. It's a digital dictionary dedicated to all things fashion, design, and retail — so when you find yourself surrounded by fashion know-it-alls who name drop industry terms left and right (um, Fashion Week?), you can wow them by firing back with an equally expert answer. From quotes and identification of classic pieces, to tracking a designer's movements through labels, the app is a wiki for industry nuts, with both up-to-date news and in-depth history.
FAD also works offline, so you can brush up on your vocab while riding the subway to Lincoln Center (or wherever NYFW will be held in the future). Speaking of which, we suggest you start hitting the "books" soon. Fashion week is almost a fortnight away, and you'll want to be up to speed before the reviews hit the digital airwaves. (FAD)
