I know this is a lame thing to complain about, but it's totally hard to find hair products that work on me, you guys. (Yes, I would like some cheese with my whine.) My super-fine, wavy, highlighted blonde locks can kind of be a pain in the arse — if I try to hydrate my parched hair with masks then it's weighed down, glossify it with serum then it's greasy, volumize it with spray then it's crunchy, enhance the curls with mousse and then it's stringy.
Since I first started to experiment with embracing my natural waves in high school, I've been on a mission to discover the best hair products that would leave me with shiny, volumized, defined hair — but sadly, most formulas just leave my hair looking worse than before. Sigh.

Enter Bumble and bumble's totally overachieving new hairspray: Thickening Dryspun Finish. You know how hairstylists are always going on and on about how amazing dry shampoo and beach sprays are, respectively, saying that we should all just spray them all over our hair to get maximum volume and texture? Yeah, if you're a fine-haired girl, this is a terrible idea. Dryspun Finish, however, is actually that Holy Grail hair product that you can apply willy-nilly, to your heart's content, and it never, ever gets gross. Ever!
Essentially dry shampoo without the shampoo part, this stuff is like invisible powder in a spray can. You see nothing — and I mean no residue — in your hair, yet somehow your locks just look incredible. You can use it at the roots, in the lengths, in hair that you've spent an hour styling, or hair that's two days dirty. No matter how you use it, I promise that it will give your hair — and your mood — major oomph. Just be prepared to get some cheesy-shampoo-ad stares as you walk down the street. It's that good.
Bumble and bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish Hairspray, $29, available at Sephora.
