GIFs On Facebook? Yes, It’s Really Happening!

yes
As a people, GIF lovers have faced many struggles over the years. One of the most grievous has been our inability to share our work and the work of our colleagues on Facebook. Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, and many more are contributing their considerable talents to GIF fodder, and yet, what's the point? Everyone knows if it's not on Facebook, it didn't happen. But today, our long suffering comes to an end.
Giphy, a GIF search engine, has created a fix to help you get your beloved moving pictures up on Facebook. All you have to do is paste the URL of a Giphy GIF (wheee!) just like you would do with a regular link, photo, or YouTube video. You have to press the "play" button to get the GIF to appear, but still, it's better than nothing — and hopefully, Facebook will see how excited we all are and realize that they need to go all-out and support our favorite format.
Now, go forth, but beware: With great power comes great responsibility. We know it's exciting, but let's try to limit our GIF posting to once an hour, okay? (BetaBeat)
