Well, this is a partnership we didn't see coming — but boy, are we excited for it. In a pretty clever pairing, Estée Lauder is teaming up with Opening Ceremony in a very big way. Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, who founded Opening Ceremony in 2002, have designed a custom wardrobe for all of Estée Lauder's beauty advisors. Inspired by the brand's vintage compacts and signature rope-weave pattern, the duo developed a collection of chic navy suiting, separates, and dresses. The only downer? Unless you're one of Estée Lauder's 15,000 beauty advisors, you won't be wearing this collection — it's not for sale.
And, for those of you who like to keep an eye on backstage beauty (ahem), Estée Lauder is sponsoring Opening Ceremony's first-ever show at New York Fashion Week. Because the makeup team is being guided by makeup artist Tom Pecheux — who never, ever disappoints — we're expecting very beautiful things indeed.
