Krakoff! Altuzarra! Elle Decor Shows Us Their Insane Spaces

Every adult home should have that one spot — be it a tiny nook or a full-size room — where you can refresh, get inspired, or simply decompress. This is true for even the busiest, most in-the-want fashion designers...except their spaces of solace are crazy awesome! In its October issue, Elle Decor gives us a peek inside the amazing spaces where seven established designers, including Reed Krakoff, Tracy Reese, Carolina Herrera, Lisa Perry, Joseph Altuzarra, Donna Karan, and Francisco Costa, replenish their creative mojo. And, not surprisingly, their digs are just as indicative of their ever-present POVs as their clothes.

Francisco Costa
Calvin Klein’s creative director of women’s fashion gives bookworm a new meaning. "For me, reading is like going on vacation," Costa tells the mag. This is the library of our dreams.

Reed Krakoff
The man responsible for jump-starting Coach as a global luxury brand and helming his eponymous line created a dramatic foyer to maintain his home's "artisanal craftsmanship
combined with warm modernism" theme. We totally get that, but we're still on the fence about those François-Xavier Lalanne sheep sculptures. What do you think?
