OpenTable Unveils List Of Top Foodie Spots, S.F. Dominates

Overlooking the fact that real culinary enthusiasts probably never verbally classify themselves as “foodies” — is anyone else 100% over this buzzword? — OpenTable has released a lengthy list of U.S. eateries that are fit for, ahem, foodies. And, what exactly does that mean? The online-reservation website has tapped into 5 million reviews for over 15,000 restaurants to conclude which spots thoughtful, discerning diners opt for.
We’re not completely shocked to find out that S.F. primarily dominates this list with classics like Frances to newer places like Healdsburg eatery Chalkboard. The Bay Area took home about 8 slots on the list of 100, which is more than any other city, but we were a little perturbed that many of S.F.’s current hotspots failed to make it. Where is Rich Table? What, no State Bird Provisions? Blasphemy! Check out the entire list here and let us know what you think of this roundup in the comments below. What other S.F. joints would you have liked to see on here? (OpenTable)
