Just in time for Refinery29's '90s Prom week, the immortally cool Salt-n-Pepa are launching us into wintry nostalgia with their very own Burton snowboards. The brand's new range of Lipstick Restricted boards feature iconic photos of the revolutionary NYC trio, as well as the lyrics to their smash hit, "Push It." (Did we blast it last night at our party? You bet!) Technically a late '80s jam, but a true staple of '90s radio, the energizing dance-rap anthem still gets plenty of airplay at sporting events, and feels right at home as a snowboard slogan.
Best of all, the designs are for a good cause. One of the most socially-conscious hip-hop groups to grace the golden MTV era, the Salt-n-Pepa ladies are still doing the right thing, collaborating on this project with Lifebeat, a leading HIV/AIDS educational nonprofit. The Lipstick Restricted boards are currently available through Burton and authorized retailers for $479.95.
