We don't know about you, but when we think of Vogue, we think of Meredith Melling Burke. Well, after Anna, of course. The longtime editor is one of the mag's most visible personalities, whether she's sitting front row at every major runway show ever or appearing on Today. And, don't even get us started on her enviable Instagram account. But now, as Women's Wear Daily reported this morning, Burke is leaving the magazine after 16 long years at 4 Times Square.
As it turns out, the editor actually gave notice to Condé Nast several weeks ago, before the start of New York Fashion Week. She'll be joined in her absence by another longtime staffer, bookings editor Valerie Boster, as rumor has it they'll be starting a new project together. The two are keeping mum on just what the new venture will be, but Burke did tell the magazine "We have learned so much in our combined 25 years at Vogue and look forward to applying this knowledge to our new venture." We're sure whatever they take on will be a knockout. (Women's Wear Daily)
