What if your favorite bands covered some of your favorite childhood songs? Well, that didn't happen, but the next best thing did — Animal New York hired cover-song maestro Adam Horne of the band Bear Ceuse to record 12 classic kids' songs as Grimes, Vampire Weekend, The Pixies, and a host of others. You'll hear Nine Inch Nails –– or a close approximation –– sing "I'm A Little Teapot," and Alt-J go to town on "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." There's even an "original" track from Danny Brown called "Eat Your Vegetables."
We're especially partial to The Cure's "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." You can imagine Horne applying the requisite mascara and hairspray to really get in a Robert Smith frame of mind for the song. Take a listen and tell us your favorite in the comments. Because there is nothing more important than getting your child a proper musical education..d. (Animal New York)
